Working time as clock time and decimal value

Timesheets often need two representations: familiar hours and minutes and a decimal value for payroll or spreadsheets. 7 hours and 30 minutes becomes 7.50 hours, not 7.30.

Break and target balance

The break is deducted from the time present. The target balance then shows whether the entered net time is above or below your target. The calculator stores no working times and does not replace an employer time-tracking system.

Shifts across midnight

If the end time is earlier than the start time, the calculator automatically assigns it to the next day. This correctly handles a shift from 22:00 to 06:00 as well.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert minutes to industrial minutes?
Multiply ordinary minutes by 100 and divide the result by 60. This turns 15 minutes into 25 industrial minutes, 30 into 50 and 45 into 75. One industrial minute lasts 36 seconds.
Is a statutory break deducted automatically?
No. The calculator deducts exactly the break you enter, so the result reflects the time you actually provided.
Can I use the result as proof of working time?
You can copy the value. Formal evidence, however, requires the details agreed at your workplace and, where applicable, confirmed time records.
